Since German-American Michael Ellis spends most of his time outside Freiburg in New York and Amsterdam, his DJ sets are always a journey into the sound of these cities: uplifting, stomping, soulful, percussive, spiritual. His ‘Ready or Not’ series and its monthly offshoots, the ‘Sunday House Dance Jams’ and Roller Discos, are fixtures in the region's dance and club culture. In 2023, he teamed up with Klingberg to form ‘Reach Another System.’ Together, they created ‘Brighter Days,’ a venue for underground dance music that brought international artists such as Kléo, Charlie, Loradeniz, Djoy and Sinamin to the decks.
