Accessibility at DAS FEST

DAS FEST is a family festival that aims to be equally accessible to everyone. We strive to remove barriers and obstacles for visitors with various disabilities.

If we have overlooked any barriers that prevent you from participating, please let us know.

Visitors with disabilities and wheelchair users require a regular ticket to enter the ticket area of DAS FEST. If these individuals have a ‘B’ mark on their severely disabled pass, they may bring a necessary companion free of charge. The companion does not require a ticket.

Barrier-free access by public transport is possible via the ‘Europahalle / Europabad’ tram stop (line 4). There are a few disabled parking spaces available in the Europahalle area.

There is a barrier-free entrance at the Europahalle entrance. This entrance also provides barrier-free access to the wheelchair and inclusion platform.

Another barrier-free entrance is located at the entrance on Karl-Wolf-Weg, coming from Kühlen Krug. The tram stop ‘Kühler Krug’ (line 5) is also barrier-free.

The wheelchair and inclusion platforms are both located in the main stage area and are only accessible with a ticket.

The wheelchair platform is a barrier-free platform that provides a better view of the main stages. The wheelchair platform is primarily reserved for wheelchair users and has a ramp and a barrier-free toilet. The DRK medical service is also located in the immediate vicinity. Please understand that security personnel will not allow accompanying persons onto the platform when it is crowded.

Furthermore, persons with the ‘H’ mark on their severely disabled pass will be accommodated here, provided that space is available. Here, too, security personnel at the respective platforms will decide based on availability.

In addition to the wheelchair platform, there is an inclusion platform at DAS FEST. This is intended for people with disabilities who are not eligible for the wheelchair platform, as well as their relatives, if there is sufficient capacity.

It is not possible to reserve seats on the wheelchair and inclusion platforms.

The platforms can be reached via the entrance at the Europahalle (ticket entrance T2a) and then on the left-hand side, following the tram line. Coming from the north, from Kühlen Krug, the platforms can be reached via Karl-Wolf-Weg and through ticket entrance T10, to the left of the café stage. Coming from Weinbrennerplatz, the platforms can be reached via Nordrandweg (information mile) and also ticket entrance T10, to the left of the café stage.

The exact location and route can also be found on our site map.

Wheelchair-accessible toilets are located at several points on the site. These are marked on the site map, which will be published on our website before the festival.

If you require medication or medical aids that need to be brought onto the premises, please notify us in advance. After reviewing your request, we will issue a special permit for you to bring them with you. You can register your medication and medical aids using the contact form or by emailing info_at_dasfest.de

If medication needs to be refrigerated, it can be stored temporarily in our medical service's medication refrigerator.

We always strive to offer gluten-free food on the premises. However, we cannot guarantee that all food is completely gluten-free. Visitors with coeliac disease or gluten intolerance are permitted to bring their own food onto the premises. To do so, a medical certificate confirming coeliac disease or gluten intolerance must be submitted in advance. After review, we will issue a special permit for bringing your own food. A special permit can be requested via the contact form or by email to info_at_dasfest.de.

For people who feel unwell or need assistance during their visit, mobile awareness teams and paramedics are on site and can be approached at any time. Further information about our awareness work can be found here.
