Last Train

In 2002, there was a pre-festival event on the stage of the festival café during the week before the festival. Back then, Holger Diener and Uwe Simmross were already playing as ‘Last Train for the Coast’ on the tiny café stage. Twenty-three years later, almost to the day, they are back on the now grown-up stage at the festival by the lake. The band name has become shorter, the set list longer, their experience greater, and the duo has now grown into a trio with percussionist Jens Kremer. With two acoustic guitars, vocals and percussion, they play their own songs and interpret cover songs in their own individual and unmistakable way. Three songwriters who feel and live music – simply and poignantly – acoustically.
