‘I celebrate the here and now with my audience, because that's what remains,’ says Jonas Gavril. Jonas combines classic singer-songwriter traditions with modern indie pop elements, and is now increasingly writing German songs that possess a melancholic yet powerful depth. With an expressive voice that can be both gentle and powerful, Jonas creates an atmosphere that leaves a lasting impression. Although only in his mid-20s, the young Pforzheim native already has over 400 performances under his belt. A highlight of Jonas' young career was his appearance last year on the TV show The Piano (VOX), where the well-known pop star Mark Forster enthusiastically described him as ‘all in.’ Forster praised not only Jonas' impressive songs, but also his outstanding piano playing and the way he effortlessly accompanies himself.
