INDIA SUMMER DAYS Karlsruhe again part of DAS FEST in 2025

Namasté: This year, India is once again located at ‘Mount Klotz’ and is therefore once again part of southern Germany's largest family festival DAS FEST. From 25 to 27 July 2025, part of the Günther-Klotz-Anlage in Karlsruhe will once again be transformed into a colourful Indian village for the INDIA SUMMER DAYS, once again inviting visitors to enjoy authentic experiences of the diverse culture with free admission.

Cultural stage programme
Whether performances by the group ‘Vaividhya’, historical performances by the ‘Dindi Dance Group’, classical dances by the ‘Revathi Dance Academy’, chanting of ancient Sanskrit mantras by the ‘Kirtaniyas’, Bollywood choreographies, Indian dances by ‘Lasya Priya Fine Arts’, fire ceremony ‘Arati-puja’, cricket demonstrations, Indian puppetry art, concert with sitar & tabla or introduction to the mudras, the symbolic hand gestures: A diverse programme awaits visitors on stage at INDIA SUMMER DAYS, offering a deep insight into India's rich culture.

‘Indian village’ to discover
In the Indian village, visitors can discover henna painting, mala necklaces, traditional stamps, Indian textiles, jewellery and handicrafts. Culinary specialities such as chai, mango lassi and authentic Indian dishes invite you to try them. Indian cuisine invites you to a taste experience - colourful, spicy, full of flavours and surprises. And India can also be experienced through information on Indian culture and tourist highlights.

Yoga and Ayurveda
Yoga is simply part of the INDIA SUMMER DAYS and is once again a central component. Together with partners ‘Santulan Veda’ and ‘Yoga Vidya’, free yoga sessions will once again be offered, providing insights into Indian philosophy, practice and the world of yoga. These are moments of peace and relaxation in everyday life.

India Week in Karlsruhe
The INDIA SUMMER DAYS are also embedded in an INDIA WEEK this year: from 23 to 27 July 2025, the wide range of Karlsruhe's close relations with India can be even better illustrated and German-Indian relations can be further deepened, Wacker is pleased to say. These include, for example, a Skilled Workers' Day organised by the TechnologyRegion Welcome Centre, a reading in cooperation with the Literary Society, an Indian film evening at the Schauburg, a cooking event at the ibz, exhibitions at the ZKM, the Karlsruhe Indu Gallery and the Contemporary Art Gallery. In summer 2025, citizens will once again be able to go on a real foray through India.
