The Berlin-based indie rapper’s first singles appeared online as early as 2021. With “Tau mich auf,” the Gen Z pop star landed his first number-one hit in early 2025. In no time at all, Zartmann had made the leap from insider’s tip to an established fixture on the German music scene. His “Schönhauser EP,” released in April 2025 and which landed at number 1 on the German album charts, is a mix of bittersweet melancholy, impulsive romance, and honest vulnerability—with lyrics that capture everyday moments, big emotions, and small heartbreaks.
