Kleio Thomaïdes and Shlomo Balexert, who hail from the Swiss squat/punk scene, have formed Bound By Endogamy since 2019. After several cassette releases and a remarkable debut 7", the Geneva duo's self-titled debut album, released in late 2023 on cult label Bongo Joe, delivers a potent blend of rave, synth-punk and industrial with raw, growling bass, crunchy analog rhythms and passionate vocals that range from breathy to fiercely cutting. Their live project fits inside a 1980s Fiat Panda, consists of drums, sampler and vocals and has been described as a cross between DAF and Kleenex with a hardcore background. Shlomo drums like a hard worker to sharp synthesizers, with Kleio screaming his head off over the top.
