Summers in Karlsruhe are getting hotter and hotter. It’s high time the music scene caught up, say Neversix, the current winners of the Audience Award at the New Bands Festival. At the start of the annual heatwave, they released their first EP to get everyone’s spirits and joints up to operating temperature. Two things are still needed to further heat up the atmosphere: the audience and the groove. One will gather in front of the Feldbühne, and the other the band has in their repertoire. Because in addition to the tracks from the EP, there’s a hefty dose of rich funk-fusion arrangements from a handpicked selection of cover versions.
