The soundtrack, set against a backdrop of indie, liquid D'n'B, synth, and hyperpop, is the medium through which Min Taka—whose name draws on a myth about a vanishing planet—shares her worldview with her audience. Her songs explore themes such as identity, belonging, femininity, and connection. Min Taka’s sonic Universe ranges from intimate, gentle sounds to intense electronic sounds. Inspired by artists such as Mitski, Sassy 009, Cocteau Twins, Kero Kero Bonito, and Charli XCX, the Pixie Pop artist released her latest EP, “I Think We Should Just Move In Together,” in July 2025. It reached over a million streams within a week, and the title track “Boston” appeared on over 80 playlists worldwide. Since 2020, Min Taka, who lives in Istanbul and Rotterdam, has released several singles and an EP and has performed at numerous venues and festivals such as Motel Mozaique, DTRH, Paradiso, the Istanbul Jazz Festival, and many others. Min Taka captivates audiences with both Turkish and unreleased English tracks, paving the way for her to gain a foothold in the European scene with her upcoming projects.
