Caramuru represents Brazilian music from Karlsruhe, but also a Brazilian crossover that has the potential to become a new trend in Brazilian music across Europe, far beyond the region. The band, led by frontman Italo Caramuru, guitarist Bruno Frey Nascimento, and bassist Cristiano Matos, has supported both “Os Gilsons” and the late Brazilian music legend Hermeto Pascoal, thrilling not only a large Brazilian community. Even though the tradition of Brazilian music is very important to Caramuru, they blend Brazilian rhythms with innovative sounds and influences ranging from Afrobeat and electropop to samba, jazz, and R&B. The captivating sound of this regional yet international, young but highly experienced band takes listeners on a journey through many musical landscapes, inviting them on an exciting and inspiring adventure.
