With raw energy, fat grooves, and driving rhythms, Affront has been bringing nu-metal back to the German music scene since 2021. The power trio from Karlsruhe combines the crushing heaviness of metal with the lyrical punch of hip-hop and the experimental spirit of crossover. Affront stands for an uncompromising sound and live performances full of passion. Whether it’s furious riffs, deep beats, or dynamic shifts between aggression and melody—the band delivers an unmistakable mix that makes heads nod and stages shake. "Asche und Staub" is the trio’s latest single, released in 2025, from a group with roots in the dark Black Forest. They have no interest in trivial lyrics or banal topics, preferring instead to address current global issues with a socially critical lens in their songs.
