The Young Music Factory, or YMF for short, is the dynamic youth orchestra of Musikforum Durlach e.V. Young musicians aged between eight and 24 play together here under the baton of a young conductor. The line-up is open; every instrument is welcome and has a place. The repertoire includes pop, rock, film music and classical pieces. At the Festival by the Lake, the YMF will perform a selection from their varied repertoire; the young people are characterised by their passion, energy and enthusiasm, and they are absolutely delighted to have the opportunity to present their rousing music in this setting.
