A symbol becomes a movement: DAS FEST launches the “DAS FEST BEWEGT.” initiative
The storm that destroyed one of the two iconic landmarks on Mount Klotz has deeply affected many people. For generations of visitors, the tree was far more than just part of the landscape. It served as a meeting place, a point of reference, and a reminder of countless shared FEST moments. However, what happened in the days that followed moved the DAS FEST team just as much: Within a very short time, sponsors and partners offered their support, and numerous visitors asked how they themselves could help. This extraordinary wave of solidarity is now giving rise to something lasting.
Under the name “DAS FEST BEWEGT,” DAS FEST Karlsruhe will consolidate its social engagement moving forward. Together with visitors, sponsors, and partners, the festival will support social projects year-round. The Karlsruhe City Youth Committee will serve as a key partner in this initiative. A portion of the donations will go toward planting a new tree on Mount Klotz, while projects specifically aimed at children and young people will also be supported.
In collaboration with the Karlsruhe City Youth Committee, we plan to launch and support social projects in the future. The initiative is explicitly not intended to be a one-time fundraising campaign, but rather a long-term commitment by the entire FEST family.
