Alice & Dolores

The music of the Karlsruhe-based band is atmospheric, intimate and fragile, musically located between trip hop and post-rock and recognising influences from colleagues such as Portishead, Daughter, Alice Phoebe Lou and The Notwist. The music of front singer Marlene, guitarist Nico, John on drums and the newest member Fabio on bass is characterised by a certain melancholy and a vast expanse of expansive soundscapes that range from beguiling silence to brute noise. The band project with the distinctive name Alice & Dolores was formed in 2021 at Rudolf 5 in Karlsruhe from a shared passion for emotional music. Within a very short time, they conquered the local stages with their dynamic and explosive live shows and received the "Musik ist Kunst Preis" from Popnetz Karlsruhe in 2022. Their single "Compare" was released in spring 2024.
