Since appearing on the music quiz show ‘Let the Music Play,’ singer, musician, and songwriter Marcus Zimmermann has become well-known throughout Germany. Prior to his television appearances, Zimmermann performed on stage as a touring musician with artists such as Nick Carter of the Backstreet Boys and Herbert Grönemeyer. When the world came to a standstill during the pandemic, he became more attuned to his inner voice and began to transform it into songs. The result was his first EP, ‘So schnell’ (2021). Three years later, Zimmermann, who also performed in Grönemeyer's band in front of the castle backdrop that same summer, presented his first album as a singer-songwriter in Karlsruhe in the summer of 2024. ‘Face the Truth’ is a personal collection of songs and feels like a journey through the highs and lows of human experience. For DAS FEST AM SEE, he will now perform for the first time with his band and the choir ‘Why Not’ to thrill the audience with a powerful mix of his own songs and well-known hits by Herbert Grönemeyer.
