The future is here: Feldbühne is set to present another four days of packed programming in 2026

 The future of a festival isn’t shaped solely on the big stages – but rather where new voices first come to the fore. At DAS FEST Karlsruhe, the Feldbühne is precisely that place. What happens here is more than just nurturing new talent. The Feldbühne bridges the gap between the Karlsruhe scene, Baden-Württemberg and the rest of Europe, making DAS FEST a vital component of the ecosystem that supports young music. Acts performing here are often the names of tomorrow – and exemplify the diversity and dynamism of an entire generation.

The stage is booked and run by the jubez (stja) booking team in close collaboration with Karlsruhe Marketing und Event GmbH, the organisers of DAS FEST. The headliners are often chosen from the national scene, and for those who haven’t heard of them before, they’re often a real surprise. However, the starting point is Popnetz Karlsruhe, which provides targeted support for young bands and acts from the city and region. Formats such as the New Bands Festival create initial performance opportunities – and for some, the path leads straight to the Feldbühne. At the state level, pop.bw builds on this support and brings additional diversity to the line-up. As the umbrella organisation for music promotion in Baden-Württemberg, pop.bw enables talented acts to make the leap onto festival stages such as DAS FEST. But the Feldbühne looks beyond regional boundaries: as part of the European Talent Exchange (ETE), organised via the Eurosonic Festival in Groningen, international acts also come to Karlsruhe.
