DAS FEST STAGES

  1. THE MAIN STAGE
  2. THE CAFÉ STAGE
  3. THE THEATER STAGE
  4. THE DJ STAGE

THE MAIN STAGE ON THE HILL

To enter the main stage on the hill, you need a day ticket for each one of the three days of the festival.
The big acts will be performed on the main stage. Over the last ten years, DAS FEST hosted many renowned artists such as Die Fantastischen Vier, Beatsteaks, Peter Fox, and Culcha Candela. This year, too, we are proud to present a program worth seeing.

THE CAFÉ STAGE AT THE PRE-FESTIVAL

Starting Saturday, July 19th, 2014, you can come to the pre-festival (during the week preceding the festival) and relax in the summer sun at the sounds of great live music.

The pre-festival is still considered as an insider tip in the midst of music lovers, because that is where you get to enjoy boogie rhythms, country music, soul, jazz, rock and roll, alternative, and funk music, meet good friends and old acquaintances for a drink, enjoy the long evenings on the little hill, and treat yourself to a cocktail on the wine terrace.

THE THEATER CULTURE IN THE FREE ACCESS AREA

In 2013, the theater stage (previously known as cabaret stage) was first presented in the free children and family area next to the Anna-Walch-Haus.
The innumerable children’s entertainment program offers the “Mobile Spielaktion” (mobile game-playing), Zeltbühne, DJ stage and info-mile (a platform for over 50 initiatives and institutions from Karlsruhe and its surroundings). These give rise to the unique and free cultural offer of the family area at DAS FEST. During the three days of DAS FEST, art programs will be presented on this cultural platform.

THE DJ STAGE IN THE FREE-ACCESS AREA

This stage right at the Alb River will host the best DJs of the region. This is where you can dance to the beat and let the rhythm carry you away.

THE FIELD STAGE IN THE FREE ACCESS AREA

The chosen artists will perform on an open-air stage once again this year. The advantage is that not only the visitors inside the tent will be able to watch the show, but many more visitors can see and hear the performance. The name “Zeltbühne” thus changes into “open-air stage”. The stage location in the access-free sports and family area remains however unchanged.
In addition to join-in activities, like the karaoke show “Talented Singers” („Begnadigte Stimmen“) or the “Open-Mic-Session” for rappers, both local and national bands love this performance venue. The program is oriented to different styles on each one of the festival days. Here, you get to see singer-songwriters’ performances as well as hip hop acts, rock music, and extraordinary shows.
The program is compiled and supervised, as always, by the soundtrack team of the Municipal Youth Committee (Stadtjugendausschuss e.V.) of Karlsruhe.
