It is forbidden to bring any food or drinks, since DAS FEST finances itself over the food and beverage sales. The lugging about is not even worth it, since we have everything you need right here. A wide range of cold beverages, fair trade coffee in DAS FEST cups, tapped beer and a big wine selection. Our selection of food has grown over the last couple years as well. We pay attention to the variety and local origin of our food and moreover make sure that we offer food for people with food intolerances, vegans and vegetarians. People ask us all the time what food and drinks they can bring to the “classical breakfast” on Sunday. Since the expenses for the classical matinee are very high, co-financing the event with beverage sales is necessary. By buying tea, coffee, sparkling wine, water or soft drinks at the concession stands at DAS FEST, visitors keep the Sunday breakfast tradition alive. Moreover, our partner bakery Hatz offers a packed breakfast. DAS FEST’s tradition allows you to bring tea or coffee for yourself, as well as a snack, like some fruit or a cereal bar. But please prepare your snack at home. Knifes, and that includes cake and bread knifes, and other dangerous items are strictly prohibited on the festival grounds. Please leave picnic baskets or picnic coolers at home. That will shorten the waiting time at the access control and prevent any problems when entering. DAS FEST recommends carrying your food in a canvas “gym bag” (in A4). Everything you will need for the festival will fit right into that, and the bag itself can be checked easily and quickly.
